Ilmaat

The home of the Aegis, the main island. It's the political and economical centre of the skies. The island is a collection of cities and small towns separated by forests, and connected by an extensive road network. It is mostly inhabited by humans, apart from the main city which, due to its standing in the skies, sees visitors and houses inhabitants of every kind.

Geography

Fairport

The capital of Ilmaat is Fairport, located on the eastern edge of the island. A thriving place, built upon the remains of an old, majestic city (the reasons for its demise are unclear). Some of the ancient buildings still stand, and were refurbished and reused - the Council Hall, meeting place of the Aegis, is one such example.

Mt. Elderock

Mt. Elderock is a strange mountain deep in the heart of the island. It looks like a completely alien place, since it's composed mostly of a white ore, named Moonstone, an important component in flight magic. Because of this, very little vegetation grows here, and the mountain is even regarded by some religions as a gift from the Gods, a piece of the Other World offered to mortals.
